Greetings from the 350 Washington County Team,
We hope to see you at our January monthly meeting on January 4th, so please RSVP here
**And also if you can't attend this meeting, we'd love to have you RSVP or email Team Leader Debby Garman if you have ideas for us and if you'd like to continue to receive news and updates from us. Contact is email@example.com
350 Washington County meets monthly on the first Wednesday evening. Our primary focus is reducing use of fossil fuel and community building to educate and take action around that issue.
New projects for 2017 are in the works and all are welcome to join the conversation and actions to combat climate change locally. We'll discuss opportunities to be active nationally and locally to fight the new crop of climate change denier politicians and disastrous cabinet choices. And we'll embrace positive actions to educate our communities, including a fantastic community building idea a member brought to our December meeting.
Team leaders will bring useful resources and a full calendar of action dates in January to share with the group.
About us: Washington County residents have formed a local chapter of the 350.org climate action group to allow us to be active on local issues in Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Cornelius, and other Washington County cities, as well as to share news and join forces with 350 groups in the Portland Metro area as we are able. The group’s priorities are to support rapid growth of renewable energies and to work as quickly as possible toward atmospheric carbon reduction. The group meets monthly on first Wednesdays, with venues dependent on our topic.
