Enlace RAP Training for 350PDX Volunteers

Enlace has offered a special free training for or 26 of our activists called The Rap. The workshop will be Saturday July 30, 9:30-12:30 at Central Lutheran Church.

Enlace is an international multiracial multisector alliance that does capacity building trainings and engages in strategic campaigning for the self-determination of the working people.

The Rap: Structured Commitment Conversation

Objective: The Rap Framework is a tool to convince a person to do something that they had not thought about doing and perhaps even thought they did not want to do. You can use the Rap in various ways, for example to increase leadership of an organization, increase economic and human resources, gain allies and volunteers for a campaign, or in general increase the success of your organization.

Many times we have wonderful ideas about how to change the world. But it really doesn’t matter how good an idea is if we don’t have the capacity to convince others to do something they would otherwise not do. Therefore your idea cannot progress forward.

Using the Rap appropriately can make the difference, not only for an organization or group but also personally. With the development of a Rap, you gain much more initiative, more motivation for success, and leadership development for yourself, the team, and organization.
